Luxerion Latex Mattress Unboxing & Setup
Unboxing:
Depending on what you ordered, you may have multiple boxes. Each box will be labeled by number to let you know what’s inside and which box to open first (e.g., Box 1 is opened first, Box 2 is opened second, etc.). If you ordered a foundation or adjustable base, proceed with opening those packages first so you have a platform to lay your product on.
Before opening your box(es), make sure to have a clear open area. When opening the packaging, take caution as to not cut or rip the contents inside. As the packaging is opened, the contents will promptly begin to expand. Exercise care as you peel away the packaging, considering the swift expansion of the contents.
The recommended method is to first remove the product from the box, unroll the product so that it is lying flat, and then carefully proceed to cut open the plastic on one of the sides.
Assembly:
Assembly Step 1.) Box 1 will include your bottom layer already installed in the cover. Once you have this removed from the packaging, you will need to lay this flat and unzip the cover. Move the top panel out of the way for now so you can assemble the remaining layers.
Assembly Step 2.) Each layer is labeled to let you know the firmness and type of latex. Begin stacking the latex layers from the bottom up. Position and adjust the layers as you are putting them in place. Do not pull or tug the layer to move it, it will tear. Grab one part of the layer and wave it up and down while adjusting. You will only be able to move it while you are sending ripples through the layer (as if you are laying down a bed sheet). Continue to install the layers according to how you ordered, or your preference of how you want the firmness to be.
If any of the layers are offset or are out of position, you will need to reposition it. You cannot fix a layer that already has a layer stacked on top of it, so if a lower layer is out of position you will have to remove the layers above it in order to fix the mattress. If you stretch or compress the layer when putting it into position, it may become too large or too small and the rest of the layers will not fit correctly, and neither will the cover. If a layer seems too big or too small, you can shake it a bit and it will return to its original shape.
Assembly Step 3.) Place the top panel of the cover over the latex layers. It may be necessary to hold the layers down while zipping up the cover to ensure the zipper doesn’t snag the layers.
Be sure that the latex is not causing the cover to bulge out. If there is a ridge or bump showing on the top of the mattress, the mattress MUST be disassembled and reassembled correctly, this is very important. Fixing the ridge just requires making sure the layers aren’t pushed together too much at the center of the mattress, and it may be the bottom layer, middle layer, or top layer that can cause this problem.
Helpful Tips for How to Handle Latex: Take caution as to not pull or tear your latex layers when assembling. The most efficient way to handle your latex layers is to send large waves through the layer similar to how you would place a sheet or blanket on your mattress. Ensure each layer is property aligned before zipping the mattress together.
Luxerion Latex Mattress Care Instructions
Care/Use:
The mattress is not required to be rotated, and the layers are not required to be flipped. However, you can choose to do so at your own discretion. Mattress Cover - SPOT CLEAN ONLY. The cover is removable but not washable. We recommend that you spot-clean the cover with water and a mild detergent & brush then place the cover in the sun because natural sunlight is excellent at completely disinfecting textiles. The cover is not machine washable because it will shrink.
Latex Foam - DO NOT EXPOSE TO DIRECT SUNLIGHT OR EXTREME HEAT. If needed, the latex foam can be spot cleaned with a mild detergent mixed with water. Ensure the foam is completely dry before assembling or using again.
Additional Suggestions for Care and Maintenance
-Use a mattress protector to prevent spills, stains, and dirt from penetrating the mattress.
-Avoid jumping or standing on the mattress.
-Avoid bending or folding the mattress as it can damage the structural integrity of the material.
-Use a firm, flat base or slatted foundation (with slats less than 3” apart) to support your mattress.

Assembly:
With a Topper Cover: If you ordered the layer with a topper cover, the latex layer is already installed. Once the topper is unpackaged, you can place it on your existing mattress, and it will be ready for immediate use.
Without a Topper Cover: If you have ordered the layer for use as a replacement in an existing mattress, a cover is not necessary. However, if you plan to use it as a topper (on top of an existing mattress), we recommend covering the layer with a sheet or similar material to prevent potential rips or tears in the latex.
If using the Topper as a Replacement Layer: Each layer is labeled to let you know the firmness and type of latex. Position and adjust the layers as you are putting them in place. Do not pull or tug the layer to move it, it will tear. Grab one part of the layer and wave it up and down while adjusting.
